Jeaniece Manasco

d. October 21, 2021

Jeaniece Evelyn Manasco went on to be with her Lord & Savior on October 21, 2021. Jeaniece was born to Troy & Claudia McElroy on July 10, 1943 in England Arkansas. Jeaniece spent most of her growing up year in Fillmore and Piru CA. She also spent some time living in Arkansas where she met the love of her life Franklin Eudell Manasco. They were married on September 29, 1961 enjoying 60 beautiful years of marriage. Frank & Jeaniece had two children, Dale Manasco and Gail Allen, son in law Bill Allen Jr., and one Grandson Wil Allen. Jeaniece was the second child of nine children. She was preceded in death by Harlen, Royce, Donald, Jeanette, Richard, Vernon, and Leonard McElroy. She is also survived by her baby sister Laurencine McElroy Rogers. Jeaniece enjoyed life. She enjoyed photography, sewing, camping, hiking, cooking and throwing a back yard party. But the things she truly LOVED were God, family, & friends. There was nothing more important to her than God. She was truly a servant of Christ and an example to all. She always said if you put God first, your family will not lack. God will always give you balance. Jeaniece was loved by all that new her and will be missed by all. My memories of Mom Mamma enjoyed so many things in life. She loved God, her family, and friends. God always came first. She made certain that our family was taught the word of God, how and when to pray, and to always be thankful for all things. I recall as a child complaining that we had to go to church even though we were on vacation. As was probably normal for a kid, I grumbled and stated "if we are on vacation it was acceptable to skip church". Mom looked me square in the eyes and said "Gail, God doesn't take vacations from protecting you and loving you. I believe you can honor God by giving him 2 hours of your vacation", and that was that. We always knew were she stood in reference to God as well as most anything else. Mom was always involved in the church and helped in any way she could. She helped in leading the young girls group "Missionettes". I loved her being there with me. She planned camp outs and bake sales. Did fund raisers of every kind right along with Dad and the Royal Rangers. She was always an example of Christ. Mom loved her family. She loved her husband, her children, and her one and only Grandson. Motherhood was natural for her. Being a Grandmother was her hearts delight. She was always my loving Mother, but became my cherished friend. I learned to appreciate her so much as an adult. Funny how that works. For me it took becoming a mom to realize who she really was. She was patient and good natured. She had big shoulder to cry on and big arms for hugs. Not every mother could take things in stride the way she could. Dad was always bringing home wild animals for Dale and I. can you just imagine : lizards, raccoons, opossums, birds, baby jack rabbit, stray dogs. She never seemed to mind. Even when all of those baby jackrabbits got out of the box INSIDE the house. We almost never caught them all. She always let us play in the mud and take walks in the rain. She loved her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews with her whole heart. She always looked forward to spend time with them. Her home was open to all. There was always chocolate gravy over toast for breakfast when my cousins where over and lots of Koolaid. She enjoyed keeping her nieces and nephews often. She loved them so much. Mom always remembered everyones birthday, and made sure that everyone got a Birthday card. She loved sending cards of every kind. If your reading this I just bet you've received one. As you all know she loved photography. Once again, If you knew her she's probably has a photo of you. Would you believe she had her closet built specifically to hold all of her photos? If a photo says a 1000 words, my Mom's conversations will never end. How precious those photos have become over the years. Mom loved to craft and to sew. She could make such beautiful things with fabric. I remember going to sleep at night to the hum of her showing machine. I would wake up the next day to find another pretty dress or a new summer wardrobe. She would make bridesmaids dresses and prom dresses, pants suites for so many people. She was a planner and organizer. She loved camping and hiking. She loved picnics and potlucks. She loved chasing rainbows to find its end. She threw back yard parties. She grew beautiful roses. She always had an open door and a glass of ice tea for those who entered. She lived, and she loved. Never could I have asked for, better mother . Thank you Mom for so many good memories. We love you forever.
