After she married Roger they immigrated to the United States in 1962 where they lived in Chicago. After a brief stop in Wisconsin Barbara and her family moved to Highland California in 1976 where she raised her daughter, Karen. and her son, Brian. She was a loving and caring mother and wife. There was no better role model as a parent or person that we could ask for. Her love was unconditional and her support unwavering. She was a proud member of the Lions Clubs in Hemet and Moorpark where she helped collect eyeglasses to be donated to those who could not afford them. She also organized the collection of pull tabs amongst the Central Coast Lions clubs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House in Loma Linda. Her passion for service to Moorpark was matched by her drive and determination to assist this community and its members she cared for. She was a member of the Moorpark Women's Club and regularly volunteered at Community events like Moorpark Country Days. Barbara also supported Catholic Charities and volunteered at For the Troops in Simi Valley. She was very patriotic and loved this country. She could always be spotted in her red, white and blue attire at the Memorial Day ceremonies and the July 3rd celebration. She was a member of Moorpark Presbyterian Church were she volunteered on a regular basis and worked in the nursery. She shared her love of the Lord with the congregation and was filled by the Lord's grace and strength. It was her faith in the Lord that molded her character and giving personality. Barbara was a social butterfly who embraced her friendships. She loved laughing with friends and was a shoulder of support in times of need. She loved to watching old movies and reading Clive Cussler novels. Her true joy however was being Nana to Addison and Ellyanne. They were the apples of her eye and she loved them with all her heart. Anytime she was around them she would beam with joy as would they. Anyone who knew her, knew them. She loved listening to Addison sing and loved watching Ellyanne be her goofy self. While she accomplished much in her full life, if asked she would tell you it was being Nana to those two that made her life complete.
