With heavy hearts, the family of Brett Carroll announce that he passed away on November 16, 2021. We were blessed to have him in our lives for 52 years. Brett was a loving and devoted father, son, brother and friend.
Brett was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on February 1,1969. He spent part of his childhood in Bountiful Utah until moving to Newbury Park California with his family in 1982. Brett was a 1987 graduate of Newbury Park High School where he was a member of the talented Panther Wrestling team. After high school Brett went back to Utah for college before returning to California where he attended Santa Barbara City College. He then studied at the Lee Strasburg Academy of Arts and Science to pursue his love of acting. Brett’s knack for ad-lib and stunts were practiced on his family and friends leaving us with many warm and funny memories. Brett worked in film editing on over 20 feature films for almost 30 years. He was a member of the Motion Picture Film Editors Guild. He loved the movie business. Brett was happiest fishing, spending time outdoors and in the kitchen cooking.
Brett is survived by his two beautiful children Karis and Caroline; his father Hall Carroll, his mother Ava Carroll Brown and stepfather Nick Brown, his brother Bryan Carroll and sister in law Tami Carroll and their children Shelby and Ethan Carroll, his sister Gina Kieling and brother in law Todd Kieling and their children Carson, Sophia and Avery Kieling.
Brett was laid to rest in his hometown of Bountiful Utah on November 30, 2021.
We will miss his beautiful smile, his laugh, his goodness and warm heart.
