Charles (‘Chuck’) Quirk
Camarillo, CA
July 13, 1930 – April 5, 2025
Born and raised in Lancaster, Ohio, Charles attended St. Mary’s High School, where he met Mary Schindler, whom he married in 1950. They had two children together, Michael and Patricia.
After moving his family to the San Fernando Valley in 1957, Charles commenced work at Atomic International, later known as Rockwell. He worked on the development of rocket boosters as a research technician until his retirement in 1989. Outside of work his passions included hunting, fishing, and target shooting. He was a member of the rifle club at Rockwell, where he earned the distinction of Expert Marksman.
Charles and Mary bought a house in Camarillo in 1974, where they lived the rest of their lives. After his retirement, alongside caring for his home and continuing his hobbies of fishing, hunting, and shooting, he developed a love for golf. He played multiple times per week and became a marshal at River Ridge Golf Course in Oxnard.
Charles is survived by his son Mike and his daughter Tricia, his grandchildren Megan Quirk, Trevor Quirk, Fritz Knoll, Logan Quirk, and Gregory Knoll, as well as his great grandchildren Landon, Findley, Colton, Verity Mae, and Bibiana.
A very special thanks to Dierdre and the staff of Buena Vista Care who provided wonderful care until his passing.
A rosary funeral service will be held at 9:30am on April 16th at Padre Serra Church in Camarillo. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
