Dolores Angela Perez was born in Ventura, California on October 2, 1942, to Jovita and Victor Chapman. She was one of 6 children. Dolores attended Holy Cross School, Saint Catherine's School, and Ventura College. She was a lifelong resident of Ventura, and an employee of the County of Ventura.

In April of 1965, Dolores was married to Alfredo Perez. They raised 4 children together Victor, Carmen, Rick, and Robert. They also welcomed 7 grandchildren Victor, David, Robert, Michael, Ricky, Hannah, and Diego, and 2 great grandchildren, Austin and Malea. She also had many nieces and Nephews.

Dolores loved spending time with her family hosting bar-b-ques and holiday functions at her home. She was very passionate about making her hand made cards and all her wonderful scrapbooks. She would spend her weekends at the scrapbooking store with close friends and family. She had a great sense of humor. Dolores passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 9, 2023 at the age of 80.
