Doris Norman

Doris Norman passed away April 7, 2024. Doris Norman was born on January 4, 1941, in Inglewood, CA, to Warren McCabe and Thelma McCabe.

Doris graduated from Downey High School in 1959 and went on to enlist in the US Air Force in 1959. She started her career as a Medical Transcriber and went on to work for many years and eventually retiring from that profession.

Doris married Floyd Norman on July 15, 1961, in Marin County. The couple have two children, Tia Jones and Victor Norman.

Doris was best known for her peanut brittle. Over the years she had various hobbies. She would sew, knit, bake, read, and listen to music. The last concert she attended was Pink in 2019 with her daughter! Of course, she love to go to Vegas.

Doris also served in the Air Force from 1959 - 1961. That's where she met Floyd and they were married on Hamilton Air Force Base.

Doris is survived by Floyd Norman - husband, Tia Jones - daughter, Victor Norman - son, Gregory Jones - son-in-law, Dalton Jones - grandson, Logan Jones - grandson, Tyler Norman - grandson, Denise Norman - daughter-in-law.

Doris is preceded in death by Warren McCabe - father, Thelma McCabe - mother.

The service for Mrs. Doris Norman will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., at Perez Family Funeral Home, 600 Central Avenue, Fillmore, CA 93015.

Burial: Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., Eternal Valley Memorial Park, 23287 North Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321.
