Our dear mother Dorothy “June” Wise sadly passed away from heart failure on May 11, 2025 at the age of 90. She was a wonderful mother to her “two boys” and was always there when we needed her most offering support, wisdom, encouragement, advice and love in abundance. Mom was a friend to many a cherished member of the city of Lancaster where she resided for over six decades. June was a devoted Christian and enjoyed talking to others about her love of Jesus Christ. She attended Grace Chapel Church and took Bible Study classes with fellow Christians in addition to regularly watching the teachings of Dr. David Jeremiah on television and reading his books. June was a real estate agent for many years in the Antelope Valley and would pridefully point out homes she had sold when driving around town. She was a member of the local model’s auxiliary and took great pride modeling the latest fashions to help support local clothing retailers. June met many great friends there who she remained in contact with until her dying day. June was also a member of the Assistance League of the Antelope Valley where she contributed her time to raise funds for underprivileged children. She has left behind a legacy of kindness and strength. She was predeceased by her parents Henderson and Jewel Ardrey of Fillmore, Ca and her husband Lawrence Wise. She leaves behind her sons Randy (Mary) and Gary Wise. Two grandchildren Christopher and Lisa (Joey) Trama and four great grandchildren (Nolan, Miles, Hailey and Evan), wonderful cousins and countless good friends who also felt her warmth, love and kindness. She will be laid to rest at Bardsdale Cemetery in her hometown of Fillmore, Ca.
The Broken Chain
We little knew that
morning that God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
you didn't go alone; for part of us
went with you,
the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide;
and though we cannot see you,
you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same;
but as God calls us one by one,
the Chain will link again.
