Edward Duca

Edward Rigonan Duca, 54, of Moorpark, California, passed away on August 21, 2026.

Edward was born on December 26, 1971, in Boston, Massachusetts. He spent a short time in Maine before moving to Oxnard, California, and eventually settling in Moorpark, where he built his life and raised his family. He worked as a Production Manager at Allcable Inc.

Edward was one of a kind. He was always ready to help the people he loved and would do whatever he could for his family and friends. If something needed to be fixed, built, figured out, or just somehow made to work, Edward’s answer was usually, “I can do that.” Whether he actually knew how to do it was another story—but somehow, he always gave it a shot.

Edward loved to joke around and give people a hard time. He had a wild sense of humor, a colorful vocabulary, and could curse like a sailor. He was the kind of person who could turn an ordinary moment into a story that would be remembered and laughed about for years.

He was a wild dad and an even wilder grandpa, always ready for an adventure and never afraid to have a little fun—or get into a little trouble—along the way. He loved spending time with his family, eating good food, snowboarding, camping, fishing, traveling, enjoying nature, and seeking out anything that gave him a little thrill.

Above all, Edward was proud of his family. He was proud to have raised his three children and loved being a grandfather to his four grandchildren. His family was one of the greatest sources of joy and pride in his life, and the memories he created with them will be treasured forever.

Edward was loud, stubborn, hilarious, loving, and always ready to make a joke or give someone a hard time. He wasn’t perfect, and he probably wouldn’t have wanted anyone to describe him that way. He was simply Edward—and there will never be another him. His family will miss his voice, his laughter, his crazy adventures, his willingness to help with absolutely anything, and hearing those familiar words: “I can do that.”

Edward is survived by his wife, Denise Duca; his children, Jessica Salazar, Jordan Duca, and Jared Duca; his grandchildren, Adrian, Laila, Kai, and Luna; his mother, Estrelita Duca; and his brother, Eric Duca.

Edward may be gone, but the laughter, stories, adventures, lessons, and memories he gave to the people who loved him will live on for generations. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
