Edward Gallo Jr.

Edward Gallo, Jr., 73, of Ventura passed away unexpectedly on March 17, 2023. Ed was born in Manhattan, New York, on March 13, 1950, to Edward and Henrietta Gallo. In the mid 1950's the family moved to California and settled in Port Hueneme where the Gallo family was very well known.

Ed graduated from Hueneme High School in 1968 and went on to become a successful businessman. He started his career flipping burgers at McDonald's in the 1960's, and then flipping houses in the 1970's before flipping was cool. He later became an Owner/Operator of several McDonald's restaurants from Fillmore to Bakersfield. He was "lovin it" for 58 years. They were blessed to have him and he was proud to be part of the McDonald's organization. He resided in Bakersfield until 2017, and then moved back to Ventura to be near his family and the beach that he absolutely loved.

Ed's passions were his family, his businesses, his many friends, and sports. He could talk for hours and recite statistics about his favorite players, The Babe and Larry Bird. He was very generous at heart to all that knew him, and he was always happy to help when he knew help was needed. He always said, "I want to help those I love because I can't take it with me."

Ed is survived by his daughter, Trisha Gallo; his grandchildren, David Edward Escobar and Ivana Francine Escobar; his sisters, Pat Williams and Esther Gallo; his brother, Raymond Gallo; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Henrietta; and his sister, Roseann Duke. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 5 at 11 a.m. at the Perez Family Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Rd, Ventura.
