Enrique “Ozzie” “Oz” Reyes

Aug 1, 1954 — Aug 3, 2026

Enrique “Ozzie” “Oz” Reyes, born August 1, 1954, raised in Moorpark, California, a place he carried closely in his heart throughout his life. Ozzie loved sharing stories of his childhood, his memories growing up in Moorpark, and the people and experiences that shaped him along the way.

Ozzie passed away peacefully at his home on Charles Street in Moorpark on Monday, August 3, 2026, after many days on hospice care. He had celebrated his 72nd birthday just two days earlier. It was important to Ozzie to remain at home, in the town he loved, and he was able to spend his final days surrounded by his family.

Ozzie was known for his humor, his love of life, and his ability to bring laughter and people together. He loved celebrating any occasion. Though life was not always perfect, Ozzie leaves behind countless memories filled with laughter, stories, celebrations, and the joy he found in living life.

Ozzie was especially proud of his 30-year career with General Motors. He also had a lifelong passion for classic cars, especially Corvettes, and loved sharing that passion with others. He was also a devoted Los Angeles Dodgers fan and enjoyed following his team.

During his final days, Ozzie’s family came together to care for him and surround him with love. His wife, Dorothy Reyes, remained faithfully by his side, caring for him and being there until his final breath. His final chapter brought his family together in a profound way, surrounded by the people who loved him most.

Ozzie is survived by his wife, Dorothy Reyes; his children, Victoria and husband David Sevillano, Victor and wife Quetzalli Reyes, Ozzie Ray and wife Michelle Hernandez, and Jaime Reyes alongside her fiancé John Abs; and his cherished grandchildren, David Sevillano and wife Tatiana, Ryder, Chloe, Stella, Alexander, Lucas, Remington Reyes, and Evan Flores.

Ozzie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through the laughter he shared, the stories he told, the cars he loved, the Dodgers he cheered for, the celebrations he created, the town he cherished, and most of all, the family he leaves behind.

Ozzie now rests peacefully in God’s eternal care beside his beloved mother, Vickie, at Assumption Cemetery.
