Francesco "Frank" Cocozza

Frank was born on December 4, 1930 in Montefalcione, Italy. Frank found the love of his life, Antonietta, just a few miles away and the two were married in January 1956. They were blessed with two children, Mary and John, while still in Italy, but eventually they immigrated to Montreal, Canada in 1959. They welcomed their third child, Silvia, while in Canada. Frank and Family eventually moved to New Jersey to help take care of his mother.

Frank and Antonietta were very hard workers. Antonietta was a food processing factory worker, and Frank was employed as a head custodian for a local school district.

In 1995, Frank and Antonietta moved to Moorpark, California. Everyone who knew them got to feast on their home-grown fruits, vegetables and of course, their home-made tomato sauce.

Frank is preceded in death by his wife, Antonietta, and his grandson, Patrick Leyden III. He is survived by his daughter, Mary, her husband Patrick, grand-daughter Jacqueline, and great-grandchildren Samantha and Ethan. He is also survived by his son, John and grandsons, Zachary and Frankie, and his youngest daughter, Silvia.

Frank passed away peacefully at his home in Moorpark, on Monday, June 15, 2026.

There will be a funeral mass at Holy Cross Catholic church in Moorpark on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 10:00 am. Internment will be at Assumption Cemetery in Simi Valley. Viewing will be at Perez Family Funeral Home in Moorpark, on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
