Gerald Lee Hollis

May 3, 1930 – August 5, 2021 Gerald Lee Hollis was born in Villisca, Iowa May 3, 1930. He served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He met his wife Dawn Smalley, a California girl, at her church in southern California and they married soon after. They celebrated 69 wonderful years of marriage while raising five children. Gerald enjoyed outdoor sports including hunting and fishing, and was a world traveler having visited 39 countries and all 50 of the United States of America. Gerald passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 5, 2021 at his home in Camarillo, CA. Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Dawn Smalley Hollis, and 5 loving children: Starr Gotzen of Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia; Cathy Wandell of Crescent, OR; Kelli Maki of Conroe, TX; Michelle McCarty of Camarillo, CA; and Mark Hollis of Gilchrist, OR; as well as 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. Gerald was a loving husband and a wonderful father and grandfather. He is loved and will be missed.
