Ignacia (Nacha) Mendez Valdez, 84, of Oxnard, California, entered into eternal rest on January 6, 2026, called home by her Lord and Savior.
Born on July 31, 1941 in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, Nacha lived a life anchored in faith and guided by grace. She walked humbly with God, loving deeply and giving freely, her life a quiet testimony to His goodness. In her words and actions, she reflected the light of Christ, offering comfort, wisdom, and steadfast love to all who crossed her path.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Nacha shared 63 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Guillermo Valdez, a partnership built on love, faith, family, and mariachi music. She found her greatest joy in her family, whom she covered in prayer and surrounded with unconditional love. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, her presence a source of peace. Through every season of life, she trusted the Lord.
She is survived by four children,Maria Elena Guadiana (Daniel), Willie Valdez Jr. (Michelle), Ricky Valdez (Patricia), Ronnie Valdez, eleven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her legacy of faith, compassion, and quiet strength. She was preceded in death by her parents Esperanza and Gregorio Méndez, and her sisters Casimira Mejía and Mary Velasco.
Though our hearts ache in her absence, we are comforted to know she is now with her Savior. She will be missed beyond measure and remembered forever, until we meet again.
