Some people only walk this earth for a short time. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us. On October 6, 2023, Jackelyn Melissa Mendoza left this world unexpectedly and gained her angel wings. She was 26 years old.
Born and raised in Thousand Oaks, Jacky was a loving and kind daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, and mother. Jacky’s smile and laughter would light up any room. Her fun loving spirit and kind soul made an impact on everyone who lucky enough to know her.
It was clear from a young age that Jacky was meant to be a mother. Jacky’s greatest joy in life was taking care of her children Julian and Ava, and making sure they were always pampered and loved.
Jacky is survived by her son Julian, daughter Ava, brother Rolando, parents Marisela & Pedro, and Saul, grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.
A visitation will be held at Perez Family Funeral Home on 1347 Del Norte Rd. in Camarillo on Thursday, October 26 from 3 pm to 8 pm. A mass will be held at St. Paschal Baylon Church on 155 E. Janss Rd. in Thousand Oaks on Friday, October 27 at 10:30 am. The mass will be directly followed by a burial service at Pierce Brothers at 5600 Lindero Canyon Rd. in Westlake.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made for the ongoing support on Julian and Ava. An account has been set up in the name of her children. If you would like to donate, please call Wells Fargo - Santa Rosa Branch.
