Jovita Ugaddan Vistro passed away peacefully on February 6, 2021. Jovita was born on October 26, 1933 to Vicente and Leanora Ugaddan in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan Philippines. Jovita was the widow of Antero P. Vistro the love of her life for 56 years. They enjoyed a rich and full life, always together, until his death in 2009. Jovita, first and foremost, was a loving and dedicated wife and mother to her four children as well as a beloved sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. She treasured her family and embraced every moment shared with them. Jovita was very creative and talented. She was an excellent seamstress and loved to crochet. As a licensed Cosmetologist, she loved styling hair for family and friends. Jovita was very proud of her career at 3M. She enjoyed baking and cooking Filipino food. One of her greatest joys was opening her home to relatives and friends. Her Catholic faith sustained her throughout her life. She was, at one time, and active parishioner at Padre Serra Catholic Church where she served as an Usher. She was a member of the Filipino Choir of Ventura County. Community service particularly with the Filipino community encompassed much of her life. Jovita served as President of the Mabuhay Club (Women's Auxiliary) Officer in the Pangasinan Club, she was actively involved in various other Filipino organizations in Ventura County. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Arlene V. Raisner (Greg), Brenda V. Licht (Mark), Rod Vistro (Fabio) and Jeffrey Vistro (Nami), her grandchildren Corey Licht and Chelsea Licht Williams (Kevin) and great grandson Rowen Williams along with a loving extended family. An outdoor Mass will be held in her memory at 11:00 am, Monday March 8, 2021 at Padre Serra Catholic Church in Camarillo. The burial service will immediately follow at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, Camarillo. In lieu of flowers, please kindly make memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
