Juan Magallon Ochoa

January 6, 1942 — April 23, 2023

Juan M. Ochoa, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished member of the community, passed away on April 23, 2023, at the age of 81. He was born on January 6, 1942, in San Pedro Michoacan, Mexico, to Jose Maria Ochoa and Maria Jesus Ochoa. Juan's journey through life was filled with love, hard work, and devotion to his family.

Juan's early education brought him to the sixth grade, but his determination and resilience carried him far. In 1972, he immigrated to the United States, seeking new opportunities. He began his journey in the construction industry for Told Const. and Mc Grath Ranch before finding work in Ventura at a mushroom plant. From 1983 to 2017, Juan dedicated himself as a Casual Longshoreman in Port Hueneme. His commitment and work ethic made a lasting impact in his profession.

Juan's family was his pride and joy. He leaves behind his loving wife, MaryLou Lopez Ochoa, who stood by his side throughout their journey. He will forever be remembered as a devoted father to his children: Jose Ochoa, Anthony (Enedina) Godinez, Lawrence (Maria) Anaya, Frederick Anaya, Leticia Anaya (Dr. Miguel) Cervantes, and Alex (Celeste) Uribe. His memory will also be cherished by his brothers and sisters: Antonio Casillas, Teresa Cahuantzi, Alfredo Valencia, Lupe Valencia, Santos Valencia, Maria Osollo, and Martin Valencia. Juan's legacy lives on through his 27 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Remembered for his selflessness and courage, Juan served in the Mexican Army for eight years, contributing to the defense of his country. He had a strong faith and was a man of God, finding solace and strength in his beliefs. Juan's passion for music was evident to all who knew him. His beautiful voice resonated with joy as he sang and danced to all kinds of melodies.

Juan's love extended to his loyal little dog, Pollito, who brought him companionship and comfort throughout the years. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his memory will continue to inspire and guide those he left behind.

In this time of grief, let us remember Juan M. Ochoa for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to hard work, and his zest for life. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his loved ones find solace in the cherished memories they shared together.
