Juanita "Jennie" Flores

Juanita “Jennie” Flores, 79, of Oxnard, Ca peacefully passed away on June 5, 2025, surrounded by her Husband and family.

Jennie was born in Oxnard, Ca to Dolores Hernandez and Florentino Neri. She met the love of her life, Anastacio “Sonny” Flores when she was 14 years old and he was 16 years old. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married on May 4, 1962. Their favorite thing to do was dance together. Sonny and Jennie couldn’t wait to start a family of their own. They had two kids, Debbie, and Ernie “Husky” Flores. Their children meant the world to them. They made beautiful memories such as taking family trips and riding their own horses.

Though Jennie loved being a mother to her two wonderful kids, her favorite role was that as a grandparent to all her precious grandkids. She treasured her time with them and loved being their grandma, never failing to cook a delicious meal or simply just being a phone call away for her love and support.

Jennie and Sonny had many friends that they shared lifetime of memories with.

Everyone who knew Jennie, knew how much she loved to cook. She loved to have her family and friends over her home for anything. From holidays, to celebrations, to visits with her and Sonny. One of Jennie’s favorite things to do when she wasn’t cooking or spending time with family and friends she was watching her Dodgers baseball.

Jennie will always be remembered for the loving and kindhearted woman she was. We couldn’t have asked for a better wife, parent, grandparent, etc. and we will miss Jennie every day. Her memory will live on in their hearts of all those who loved her.

Jennie was preceded in death by her daughter Debbie Flores and is survived by her Husband Sonny Flores, and son Ernie “Husky” Flores.
