Magdalena Padilla

d. September 22, 2020

Our beloved mother Magdalena “Nena” Padilla (Orrante), 74, left us on September 22, 2020 unexpectedly. She resided in Oxnard, California since her birth, June 11, 1946. She survived alongside her five kids, William “Jr” Orrante, Cynthia Fonseca, Chris Almaguer, Corey Almaguer, and Cassandra Almaguer, twelve grandkids, ten great-grandkids, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was one out 10 siblings Macario “Mac”, Engracia “Grace”, Ysidoro “Lolo”, Doroteo “Teo”, Adelaide “Lala”, Audencio “Lencho”, Isabel “Chavela”, Margaret “Mage”, Jessie “Chuy” she predeceased by her brother, Teo. She was born to Doroteo & Juanita Padilla. Our mother was never married but devoted to the love of her life, William “Willie” Orrante. Our mother loved and enjoyed to travel, have family gatherings and spend time with her grand-kids, but she mostly loved watching TV. She was a stay at home mom who always took care of her kids and grandchildren. She also loved her kitchen, always cooking and welcoming everyone. Our mom was known for her famous “Tacos” and rice. She was a big party animal and known as a redhead trouble maker. Our mom was a big “collector.” As a loving Grandmother, she taught her grandchildren so much. She loved showing them how to sew, cook, coupon and so much more. Her Grand-kids were her shining light, she smiled and laughed with pride. As a Grandma, she loved to spoil all of her grand-kids, and she praised everything they did whether it was right or wrong. She always worked on word puzzles, played cards, dominoes. Her hobbies, were shopping, traveling, gardening, and most of all being with her family. Our mom would do anything to keep her family happy. Our beautiful Mom was a strong, compassionate, loving, caring, funny, Woman. She was loved by many. She will be missed, and in our hearts forever! We love you Mom. Now an angel, she will look over us all and she will guide us in the right direction.
