Margaret Ruth Wolfe (Maggie) Class of 1975 lived in Leisure Village in Camarillo California with her husband James Thompson where she peacefully passed away on January 20, 2026.

Maggie was born on August 9,1953 in Quito, Ecuador to her parents Galen and Mirna Flory Wolfe who were missionaries at that time. Maggie grew up in Hereford, Maryland then went to Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia where she graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor Degree in Music and then pursued her Master’s Degree in Christian Education in Chicago at Bethany Seminary.

Maggie returned to Maryland after graduating and worked as an accountant for Cash Register Sales and Service until she moved to California in 2000. She worked for the Leisure Village Association in Camarillo California as the senior account until she retired in 2020.

Maggie was an avid world traveler having been to Russia, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand many times with her favorite traveling companion, Mirna Wolfe. After moving out west Maggie and Jim continued her love of travel and visited all the National Parks in California, Nevada, Utah and Arizonia.

Maggie’s favorite places to visit were Bishop, Mammoth Lakes, Carmel and Monterey California where she would go to every year
