Marina "Coni" Gonzales

Marina Gonzales entered into eternal life peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 17th, 2022. She was born December 19, 1929 in Camarillo, CA
In 1964, she started her career as a LVN at Ventura County Medical Center in the emergency room. She would continue to work there until she retired in 1987. Marina met the love of her life Manuel "Manny"Garcia and would spend the rest of their lives together until Manuel was called home. Marina was happiest when she was with her family. She enjoyed her annual tradition of making tamales, frequent trips to Laughlin and family camping trips. She also loved watching Bonanza and Gun smoke with her sister Judy. Her beloved dogs Roxy and Truman were her constant companions.
She was preceded in death by her husband Manuel, sisters Delma, Dolores, Dora, Delia and brothers Arnold and Adrian, son Oscar, grandchildren Jennifer, Jamey and Joseph and first husband Julian.
Marina is survived by her children Monie (Alex)
Mico (Susan)
Patrick (Rosemary), Manuel (Debbie)and Rose Gonzales, Leticia(Pat)Huntimer, Sylvia (Kevin)Quinn. She was blessed with 24 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Nana will always be remembered for her devotion to her family and many friends. Her home was always open to everyone.
Services are as follows:
Viewing from 5-9 with a rosary recited at 7pm on Dec. 1, Perez funeral home 1347 Del Norte, Camarillo. A Funeral Mass On Dec. 2 at 10 am at Santa Clara chapel, 1333 Ventura Blvd., Oxnard.
