Naomi Bailey was taken, on March 2, 2026, by our Lord Jesus to be with her husband John, and the rest of her loving family in heaven. Naomi was born April 18th, 1928. She attended grade school in Midlothian Texas. Then after her family moved to Santa Paula when she was 14 years old, she attended Santa Paula High. That is where she met her best friend and future sister in-law Wanda Bailey. In 1946 Naomi married Wanda’s brother John Bailey Jr. of Santa Paula, and they started their family. They resided in Santa Paula the rest of their lives. They were co-owners of Home Appliance Service in Ventura with John’s brother Wayne Bailey and his wife Joy. Throughout Naomi’s life, from a young age, she was a devout Baptist Christian. She and John were founding members of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Santa Paula. Her strong faith was her light that guided her faithfully through her long, glorious lifetime. She loved to travel, and she went to 16 countries and all 50 of the United States. Switzerland and Israel were her two favorite places that she visited.
Naomi and John raised four children, Joan Bates (deceased), John Bailey (deceased), Steven Bailey (wife Jan), and Brenda Cummings (husband Chuck). She is also survived by her nephew (like another son) Wendell Bailey. Naomi’s parents were Lester and Jewel Driver. Her deceased siblings are Reta Bogan, Norma Freeman, and Lester (Bud) Driver. Her surviving siblings are Allie Ann Brown, and Sue Laidler. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Wayne Bailey. She is survived by four grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins that all loved her very much.
Naomi will be buried alongside her Husband and two deceased children in the Santa Paula Cemetery. The grave side service will be held on March 23rd, at 11:00am.
