Raquel Contreras

Raquel Contreras, aged 43, passed away on the morning of February 18, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Rachel was born in Ventura, California to Josefina Contreras and Arturo Contreras. She spent her childhood in Santa Rosa Valley and went on to graduate from Fillmore High School. Rachel continued to build a life in Fillmore where she spent 20 years as a dedicated Vons team member.

Rachel's greatest joy was her daughter, Alyssa, and her husband, Alvaro. She gave birth to her daughter in 2004 and met the love of her life, Alvaro Torres, in 2019. She was known for her witty commentary, colorful style, and bright laughter. Rachel was always the life of the party and knew just how to make others laugh or smile no matter the circumstance. She is survived by her daughter Alyssa Estrada, her husband Alvaro Torres, and her mother Josefina Contreras. Rachel is also survived by her 11 siblings: Carlos, Eva, Arturo, Nubia, Olivia, Roberto, Susana, Jorge, Maggie, Leticia, and Ruben.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arturo Contreras. May they rest together in peace.

Her services will be held on March 1st for the viewing at Perez Family Funeral Home 600 central Ave Fillmore, Ca 93015 at 6pm. On March 2nd Mass will be held at St Francis of Assisi Church 1048 W Ventura st Fillmore, Ca 93015 at 10:30am. Private reception held after mass for close family and friends.

Rachel will always be remembered in our hearts and we will forever carry her memory.
