Raul Jimenez

August 30, 1953 — April 14, 2026

Raul Jimenez was born on August 30, 1953 in Oxnard, California to Raul and Connie Jimenez and has now joined the party in heaven on April 14, 2026.

What can we say about Raul? If you were lucky enough to have known him, you would understand that words aren’t even necessary. Hearing his name alone triggers happiness and fond memories. He was hilarious and bold, kind and charismatic. The type of person that effortlessly strolled into a conversation and almost always made a friend after.

Raul loved rock n’ roll and even dabbled in rockstar life playing the guitar in a garage band during his younger years and later he would bust out the guitar around camp and play Led Zeppelin with his wife singing vocals. He was the definition of a free bird. We also could not leave these writings today without saying- “How ‘bout them Cowboys!” A diehard Dallas Cowboys fan to the end.

Raul met his wife Josephine of 50 years and they married on June 12, 1976. They set-up life in Oxnard, California where Raul worked for the City of Oxnard for 20 years. Raul and Josephine started a family and had 3 children- Nova, Woody, Samantha and later raised their granddaughter Jayda. There are many BBQ’s, camping trips and fun family memories to recount. Raul got his 2nd wind when his next set of grandchildren were born- Bobby and Liv Magaña. Boy, how he loved being a grandfather!

Raul was a cancer survivor and fought courageously until the end. His wife Josephine remained by his side caring for him throughout the years and was truly his rock. We find peace in knowing that Raul now gets to join his daughter, Nova, in the VIP section in heaven, along with other missed loved ones.

It’s hard coming to terms that we won’t get to see or hear Raul’s voice anymore. His famous “ Hey, man….” Whenever he started a sentence or updates on new movie/show releases. But we are confident through all those that knew and loved Raul (and there are many) that his memory will carry on.

Thank you to all the family members and friends along the way who have made this journey worthwhile. Until next time.
