Robert Solis

Robert Solis, 68, of Camarillo, California, passed away on February 12th, 2021, after suffering complications following heart surgery. He loved the Lord and we know he is now at peace in Heaven. Bob, as he was known to most, was a loving and devoted husband, an amazing father, an adoring grandfather, a caring son, brother, brother in law, kindhearted uncle, and loyal friend. He was born in Los Angeles, in 1952, and attended Sierra Vista High School where he met the love of his life, Loresa. After graduation, Bob entered the United States Air Force where he served in a Strategic Air Command Unit as a Security Police Officer. While stationed in South Dakota, he and Loresa were married. Bob and Loresa had just celebrated 49 years together in December, and were looking forward to many, many more. Their marriage was one that stood the test of time and was filled with love. One of Bob’s biggest accomplishments was being a fantastic father to Julie and Rob. The love and pride he had for them was always apparent. They never left the house without a “be careful” from their dad. He was generous with his hugs, kisses and “love you” s, while always providing ceaseless strength and support. One of Bob’s true joys came from being a grandpa and he loved spending time with his four grandchildren, Danielle, Jessica, Ava and Aaron. There was nothing he loved more than cheering them on during their games, meets and competitions. He was their biggest fan. Although he was not wealthy he often spoke of how blessed and rich he was in the truly important things in life. His wife, children, grandchildren and his fur baby, Chuckie, were his whole world, and then, of course his beloved San Francisco 49ers. If he were here today he would tell you that he lived a happy life, so much happier than he ever expected. Knowing he lived a life of happiness and is now at peace with the Lord brings comfort to his family. But our commonwealth is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will change our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power which enables him even to subject all things to himself. Philippians 3:20-21 Preceding him in death are his parents, Elena and Pablo. Others left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Pablo, Michael, Carlos and Gilbert, and sisters Lupe, Melinda, and Rosie, and their families.
