In Loving Memory of Robert “Bobcat” Velasquez

April 6, 1967 – September 12, 2026

Robert “Bobcat” Velasquez was born in Oxnard, California, and lived in Moorpark with his loving wife, Leticia Garcia Velasquez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lupe Velasquez and Robert Velasquez Sr.

Robert was a loving father to Robert Velasquez Jr. and Clarissa Velasquez, a stepfather to Irma Gomez and Roger Gomez, a beloved brother to Stella Velasquez and Anthony Velasquez, and a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren, who lovingly knew him as “Papa Bobcat.”

He worked at the Port as a member of ILWU Local 46. Robert loved fishing, barbecuing with family, spending time with friends, dancing, singing, and proudly representing his favorite football team, the Raiders.

Robert will forever be remembered for the love, laughter, and wonderful memories he shared.
