Ronald Montanez

Ronald “Ronnie” Montanez was born on July 26, 1957, in Oxnard to Carmen (Romero) Montanez and Frank Montanez. Ronnie was raised in a close and loving family and was the youngest of four siblings: Eddie Montanez, Elizabeth “Doll” Montijo (Montanez), and Thomas “Tommy” Montanez.

Throughout his life, Ronnie built many lasting friendships through both his personal and professional life. Many of these relationships remained strong and meaningful through his final days. Ronnie faced the illnesses of his later years with remarkable strength and unwavering faith. During his most difficult times, he leaned deeply on the love of his family and his relationship with Christ. Through his journey, he learned humility, forgiveness, compassion, and gratitude, cherishing each day he was given.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Alice Cynthia Montanez (Valenzuela); his son, David DeCaires; his siblings, Eddie Montanez, Elizabeth “Doll” Montijo, and Thomas “Tommy” Montanez; as well as many nieces, nephews, and members of the Romero family.
