Rudy Velasquez

Rudy Velasquez, age 36, of Santa Paula, California, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026. He was born on January 12, 1990, in Ventura, California, to Maria Concha Velasquez and Rodolfo Velasquez. After graduating from the American Board of Wound Management, Rudy dedicated his career to healthcare, working as a Quality Management Coordinator for Common Spirit Health.

Rudy Velasquez was deeply passionate about pop culture and enjoyed listening to a wide variety of music, playing video games, watching anime, and building a large and meaningful online community. He was known for his incredible sass, intelligence, quick wit, and unforgettable sense of humor. Above all, Rudy had a caring and generous heart, always making those around him feel seen and welcomed. His unique personality, humor, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rudy is survived by his mother, Maria Concha Velasquez; his father, Rodolfo Velasquez; his sister, Vicky; his brother, Aldo; and his beloved nieces and nephews, Jasmine, Lily, Sophie, and Antonio.

A memorial service will be held on September 1, 2026, at Perez Family Funeral Home in Santa Paula, California. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by the Rosary at 6:30 p.m.

A Mass celebrating Rudy’s life will be held on September 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, followed by burial at Santa Paula Cemetery at 11:30 a.m.

The family warmly invites friends, loved ones, and all who knew Rudy to join them in honoring his life, sharing cherished memories, and celebrating the impact he had on those around him.

He was taken from this world too soon, and he will be missed by all those whose lives he enriched.
