Susan Rae Newhard

Susan Newhard, a resident of Ventura, 57, passed away October 20, 2009 in Ventura. Born in Warren, Ohio to Thomas and Martha Newhard, the family moved to Southern California in the mid 1950’s. Susan enjoyed bowling and participating in the Special Olympics as a runner and ball thrower. Over the years she collected many trophies and ribbons for these events. She also has numerous ribbons from the county fair for her plastic canvas work, latch hook rugs, and yarn covered clothes hangers. Susan has traveled to Disney Land, and the big red boat, Hawaii, Tahoe, Las Vegas, and more, spending time with her family in between trips. Susan always had a smile on her face and enjoyed being with people. She is survived by her father and brothers Thomas and Jerry and their families all living in Camarillo. A “Celebration of Life” will be held on November 7, 2009 from 3pm to 5pm at the home of Tom and Kathy Newhard 690 Calle Portilla in Camarillo.
