Sylvia Atkinson

Sylvia Atkinson passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, surrounded by her family, just two days before her 86th birthday.

She was born on December 24, 1939, in Gibraltar to Ernest and Juanita Gonzalez and later lived in England, where she met and married her husband, Robert Atkinson. Together they shared 65 years of marriage, first in England and later in America, where they moved in 1982.

Sylvia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She took great pride in her family and was deeply involved in raising her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was known for her warmth, care, and the importance she placed on good manners, which she lovingly passed down through generations. In the deepest sense of the word, she was the matriarch of her family She loved to cook, bring everyone together, and create a home where family always came first.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Atkinson; her daughter, Deborah Atkinson; her son, Dean Atkinson; her sisters, Angelina Miller, Magnolia Linares and her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Lee Atkinson, to whom she remained devoted throughout her life.

Sylvia will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
