Theodora H. Tejeda

Dora H. Tejeda (Almaguer) 1929 - 2020 Our dearly loved Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Great-Great Grandma and Wife passed peacefully on November 24, 2020 with her husband Manuel , daughter Yolanda and Great Granddaughter Sylvia near her side. Dora was born on April 15, 1929 to Siria and Santos Hernandez. She was born a twin and was the youngest of 8 siblings. On March 16, 194, she married Ralph Almaguer. Together they raised their 6 children, Anthony, Jack, Yolanda, Edward, Martha and Ralph. They went on to have many grandchildren. Ralph preceded Dora in death on April 16, 1988. In 1991 she married Manuel Tejeda. He remained by her side until her last breath. Together they enjoyed many years of traveling, laughing and love. Dora brought countless laughs and smiles to others around her. She was one of the strongest and most determined women anyone ever met. Her strength was admired by others. Dora especially enjoyed her visits with her grandchildren. Together they joked, laughed, sang and took pictures to cherish. She enjoyed sharing her stories of her family. Growing up, her grandchildren always knew they could count on her. She was their confidant, their partner and their savior. She left her grandchildren and great grandchildren with many stories to tell. She left behind a true legacy of what a grandmother is. Dora’s great great grandchildren were one of her greatest accomplishments. If you knew her, you knew about her beloved 5th generation. She made sure to share just as many laughs and love with them as she had with her older grandchildren. They were blessed to experience the joys of their Grandma Dora and to be left with the wonderful memories. Her stories, laughter and love will carry on to many more generations. The family is especially grateful to her husband Manuel and daughter Yolanda for taking care of her daily. They never hesitated to take the extra steps to ensure her needs were met. She was lucky to have them by her side for her to count on. Dora was preceded in death by her parents, 7 siblings, and 1 great grandchild. Her memory lives on with many including her husband Manuel and her 4 generations that include 4 sons, 2 daughters, 24 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren. Her services will take place on December 3, 2020 @ 4:00 p.m. Gathering in her honor will follow at a location to be announced.
