Thomas Dakin III

Thomas Richard Dakin III passed away on December 22, 2025, in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 27. Born on September 22, 1998, in Ventura, California, Thomas lived a life full of curiosity, laughter, and love. His heart was as big as his imagination. He viewed the world through an artistic lens with an appreciation for the beauty in everyday moments and shared that gift with everyone he met.

He found joy in simple, meaningful moments—spending time with family (he found special pleasure in being called “uncle”), caring for the animals he adored, drawing, skateboarding, gaming, rainy days and the warm glow of a burning candle among many other pastimes.

A family-oriented and compassionate young man, Thomas leaves a lasting legacy of kindness, laughter, and love along with gentle reminders to slow down, look closer, and appreciate the beauty in life.

Thomas is survived by his loving parents, Melody Crandall-Dakin and Thomas Richard Dakin Jr.; his siblings, Raquel, Jazz, Taylor, Hunter and Stellan, brother and sister in-law Alex and Kacie, his grandmother Narcissa Dakin, and his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is deeply missed, and the love and joy he shared will always remain in our hearts.
