Trudy Chunn

May 18, 1965 — April 13, 2024

Trudy Ellen Chunn, 58, passed away on April 13th, 2024, in Santa Paula, California. She was born on May 18th, 1965, to Elaine Bryant and Robert Bryant.

Trudy was a loving mother and cherished friend. While she occasionally drove a truck, Trudy's greatest joy was found in raising her children, Caleb, Courtney, and Chance. They were the lights of her life, and she poured her heart and soul into nurturing and guiding them.

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often spending her time playing cards and dominoes with her family and friends. Her laughter filled the room during lively game nights, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever. Trudy had a love for rock and roll music, and she could often be found dancing around the kitchen to her favorite tunes. Among Trudy's passions were her horses, her faithful companions in her rural adventures. She found peace and companionship in their presence, spending countless hours riding through the fields and forging unbreakable bonds with her beloved animals. In addition to her equine companions, Trudy was a devoted pet parent, providing a loving home to a menagerie of animals that enriched her life in countless ways. From loyal dogs to curious cats and all the creatures in between, Trudy's home was a haven for animals in need, reflecting her boundless compassion and kindness.

Trudy is survived by her beloved mother, Elaine Bryant, her sister, Elizabeth Jones, her half-sister, April Cooper of Colorado, and her children, Caleb Chunn and Courtney Chunn (Michael Smith). She is also survived by her ex-husband, Ron Chunn, and her three grandchildren, Braylie, Addysin, and Harper Chunn.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her infectious laughter, warm smile, and generous spirit.

A memorial service to celebrate Trudy's life will be held on May 4th at 11 am at Perez Family Funeral Home in Fillmore, California.

“Though she may be gone, the love she shared with her children will live on in their hearts forever.”
