Vida Lucille Matzen

Vida Lucille Matzen, passed away from this life on February 6,2010 to enter eternal life with her Lord and Savior. She was born on April 7th 1907 in Atkins Arkansas, moved with her family to California when she was a young girl. She was a graduate of the Salvation Army Training College and later went into Nursing from which she retired at age of 71. She was a gentle, caring person, beloved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul O. Matzen in 1961. She is survived by her daughter, Laura E. Matzen of Ventura, California, her son WM Paul Matzen and his wife Kathleen, of Mount Vernon, WA. Six grandchildren Paul E. Bowen of Hammond, LA. Peter J. Bowen of Ventura, California, Robin L. Michael of Ventura, California. Samantha Ford of Ventura, California. Kim Matzen Brock of Spanaway, WA, and Patrick Matzen of Burlington, WA, and 12 great grand children. There will be no Funeral, at her request. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made th the Salvation Army or billy Graham Ministries. Heartfelt thanks are extended from the family to the personnel at Camarillo Health Care Center for the exceptional care she received in her last days.
